What a relief...the last two postings that had G^(&W#R)*$!@ in them heralded the demise of the CDS2 and the 52.

I came home after 3 weeks away (with the system powered up) and switched the system to the tuner and it was amazing, later on listened to a CD - it was a most enjoyable listen.
The 552 does appear to remove the unmentionable f word issue from the system.

The 552 doesn't seem to help signiature lines though.

I have a CDS3 plugged into my 552 at the moment. It's superb of course, very different in presentation, but it unexpectedly highlights (for me) just how damn enjoyable the CDS2 is in this context.
