trouble with wax?

Posted by: pcm on 16 January 2004

Seriously, folks, I have noticed that if I turn up the wick a bit (not usually beyond 9-10 o'clock)then within a day or two my ears - not to put too fine a point on it - become de-waxed! This may happen after only a comparatively short listening session at that volume. It saves on olive oil, and sounds nicer.
Anyone else had the same beneficial effect?

I have noticed a different effect if I play mine over 10/11 then my ears turn red Smile

I wouldn't dare turn the volume up to 9:00 (with CD as source) for fear that my Kans would explode, swiftly followed by my ear drums. Eek

My ears tend to go the other way!

After too much listening at high volumes they tend to wax up to protect themselves!

It's really not recommended. Loud volume will generate wax rather than dislodge it. You should limit the volume to a level that you can easily have a conversation over without raising your voice, otherwise prolonged exposure will eventually damage your hearing permanently.
Yeah, right....FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK.... Smile

..you should also stop smoking, drinking, eating bacon sandwiches, take regular exercise and floss your teeth everyday.
