From the Lion's Mouth

I recently bought "From The Lion's Mouth" by The Sound, its just been re-mastered and released on CD. Stylistically they are Joy Division lite (but none the worse for that) and this would have sat happily alongside JD, The Cure, Bunnymen, Teardrops etc. etc. that I was listening to a lot at the time.

I only found this one from the Amazon list of recommendations - I read the reviews there (JD/E&tB/Teardrops were all mentioned as reference points) so I bought it. The reviews also mentioned that they never got the recognition they deserved at the time. Well I'd never heard of them. I'm not quite sure how I missed this when it was originally released (in 1981) which co-incided with my most active period of record buying. I was a student at the time, I read NME every week, was a regular listener to John Peel (at least after the bar's had closed) and went to loads of gigs and a wide circle of friends with similar taste in music. (Too much beer perhaps?) confused

Anyway, for anyone else who missed them first time round, give this one a go.

For anyone who had heard of them - are any of their other albums any good or is this the best one (if the reviews on Amazon are to be believed)
