Anyone care to make a prediction.
I reckon blair will wind up with an overall majority of 90.
Nothing scientific, just a gut feel.

That's similar to what my uncle reckons and he's a Labour councillor.

Mr Parry,
I think that's a pretty good estimate.

The system we use is the best of a bad bunch.
The winner is elected by a system that few of us have complained about, so live with it.
Good luck to whoever wins because we put them there.

Definitely not good luck to Tony.
B.Liar's position of strength in terms of his chances of winning is protected by a universally-held cynical view that all politicians are liars and cheats, and as such he's no worse or better than anyone else.
I disagree. He's the most expedient politician this country has ever known. He will stop at nothing to stay in power. He has absolutely no scruples and no integrity whatsoever.
Millions of pounds will undoubtedly be promised to the West Midlands following the closure of Rover at Longbridge. But once his feet are back under the table at his desk in Downing Street the money will evaporate (or will be shifted between pots) and he'll be secure in the knowledge that the voters of those marginal constituencies in the West Midlands will have at least four years to get over this betrayal (even if they don't, he'll have had a good innings anyway.)
Last time it was the students and their parents he betrayed...
I'll vote for Howard's lot because although he shares much of Blair's authoritarian bent he's much more up-front and principled about it, and his value system is clearer, er, I mean, he actually has values.
