Jeremy Clarkson didn't like the 350z at all. I lost some respect for his discernment when I saw that episode of Top Gear

But the 350 won the top gear best car award for 2004!

As for depreciation I could still sell the car for what I paid for it. In fact I was offered £35k for it the day after I purchased it.

BUT the M3 is a great car Big Grin
(OK it has an image problem in certain parts - like Sarf London - but that doesn't stop it being fabulous to drive!)

I wouldn't have an M3 but i saw a 645 convertable yesterday and was very tempted.

Well bugger me! The episode I saw (and we are behind the series here in NZ) Clarkson was going on about US design, French engine blah blah. Perhaps the rest of the team overuled him?

I really did fancy getting a 350Z myself but too much grief over the impracticality of a two seater.

I agree with Woody that the M3 is an awesome car particularly the SMGII.

What M3 do you have Woody?

I don't have one - I have a Honda Civic Eek

Last beemer I had was a ZM Coupe - fantasically fast and awesome handling but a bit impractical (only 2 seats). Am seriously tempted by restyled M3 though

I went to an event organised by the Wood the BMW dealer for Bournemouth and Salisbury last week.

It was primarily for the launch of the new BMW 3 Series which I presume is still the most important car in the BMW range in terms of volume sales in the UK.

It was held at Somerly House at Ringwood in Dorset, which was a superb location and it was a fantastic day of events/activities.

I didn't get to drive an M3 - there was one available but you were driven in it and the same applied to the 6 Series coupe - but the majority of the range was available to drive throughout the day.

The new 3 Series is OK (he said risking damning with faint praise?) but I was probably expecting a bit more than it delivered.

Bizarrely the car I drove that actually impressed me most was the X3(2.5 petrol Sport). From the reports that I had read this was supposed to be an ugly, badly put together, overpriced, underperforming car.

I thought it was brilliant to drive - and it looks better from the inside looking out. It's not the car for me but it was surprisingly good.

Fritz

No one is as sad as you.

You are mega sad.

You are the sad persons very sad person.

Your only redeeming virtue is that you serve as a horrible example when warning others not to become a sad person.

Thats why I have the Jeep as well. The Nissan for when I am on my own and the Jeep for the family.

It makes an excellent family car. Its big, spacious and very comfortable and you can get two MF9's in the boot!

Fritz

Perhaps you should start a thread about living in tiny apartments in cities that are far too densely populated for the good mental health of their inhabitants? Cool

Mick,

you need to use the ignore button more often. I scroll past Fritz's posts without reading them. It improves his posts.

Mick,

I think Fritz is attention seeking as he genuinely needs help, and we should all show compassion and calmness when reading his profound posts...

He needs to see a Doctor.

He needs to get a job.

He needs to get a woman in his life.

He needs to sell his PC.

Then he is on the way to being less sad.

Having only last week or so enjoyed a wee rebate from the tax office, and having only been unemployed since December, it may also interest you to know that I still pay tax this very moment as well here in Germany, so yes, I do love me thanks Michael, innit.

Mick the best way to treat attention seakers is to ignore them.
