NaimUniti and n-Link iPod Connector

Posted by: chris_p on 08 December 2009

Is anybody else having trouble with this £95 cable?

I have to restart the Uniti or disconnect and reconnect the n-Link every time the unit is paused/stopped and left for a while.

When I attempt to listen to the iPod again a 'Please Wait' Input Initialising message appears and the Uniti freezes.

other inputs are fine. They select and play normally.

Once playing it all works well but I would not have bought the n-Link if I had known of this 'feature'.

Hi,

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the connection at the rear of the Uniti. Because the cable is a bit stiff it would work its way loose. I supported it with an old small glass tumbler and a bit of blu-tak. Hope this is a bit useful to you.
