Of course they do. If you at least admit to them they are less likely to get in the way of good business practice.

I've had three employers that were absolute naturals at what they were doing. They did business on intuition. Watching them in action convinced me that no amount of MBAs or marketing degrees could make up for a lack of that "feeling" that they had for what was a good risk and what was bad.
