Hi all ,
Just a quicky.... I have replaced the fuses in my kit for 10 amp ones & I am thinking of going for 15 amp ones now. I have recently heard that theres one in the npsc power supply. I'm presuming that its under the lid so to speak! Anyone got any idea of its location?
cheers mad boy matt

So presumably you heard an improvement with the 10amp ones, yes?

...but nice! I have experimented with 10A fuses (replacing 5A ones internal to my monoblocks) and the difference was surprising - I really didn't expect to hear much, but things like drums and bass gained an extra solidity and the edges of bass notes took on an even-more defined shape.
This is with a 30A dedicated spur, so perhaps you'd be better looking at getting a spur before messing with fuses, and beware that your warranty may be void if you mess with the fuses...

Hi steve,
Sure.... definate improvements! The thing is I did some other improvements aswell!!!
I installed a separate consumer unit with 16 amp rated mcb, then using 20 amp rated rfi screened cable I wired a fuseless switchless mk round three pin single socket as a ring circuit. I then did away with all the plugs & associated fuses from my kit & connected them as grahams hydra arrangement!!
Viola!! improvements!!
P.s don't suppose you know where the fuse is on the npsc do ya??
cheers matt

Sorry I can't help with the Napsc - I've never had one. Doesn't the case come off easily?

The Napsc case is held on with four screws on the sides of the case. Inside you'll find a white plastic fuse block. Just pull up on the top-mounted "grip" and the fuse holder (with fuse) pops right out (friction fit).
Hate to sound like a Mother Hen but ....you're sure you want to uprate that last point of safety - the internal fuse?
regards,
dave

Fraud of course, common Kit why do you think insurance is so expensive, because every one played by the rules?
Replace the fuses in your trashed kit with trashed proper fuses and straight onto the company!
This is of course a supposition, because I have never claimed on insurance, except when the f**kers said my push bike wasn't covered in the shed, even though they said the shed contents was covered, just not bikes.
So bang went a gorgeaou Kirt Manitou with rock shocs, deore gears, brakes and wheels.
It works both ways.
