Washing CDs

Does anybody else wash their CDs? I do all mine and the sonic improvements are huge even to a deaf old Watt/Puppy owner like me.
I use a few drops of ordinary washing-up detergent gently worked onto the playing suface under running tap water for a few seconds. Then a final rinse with well filtered water. I plonk the disc onto a stack of soft absorbent paper for a quick blot dry, followed by a VERY gentle buff with a well washed cotton hanky.
Been doing this for ten years now with no obvious damage. I only do each disc once.

The washing up liquid trick works wonders - especially well when you have an inquisitive 2 year old with a strong liking for depositing the contents of sticky little fingers on those nice shiney round things smile

p.s. anyone tried em in the dishwasher yet ??? big grin
