Sub cut off?

Using Nait XS to drive front which are Proac response D2's and NAPV175 for centre and rear surrounds B&W M1's and sub is B&W AS2 what would likely be a good sub cut off point to suit, for reference presently set at 80khz?. Big Grin

You've got a strange mix of speakers so getting the sub cut off point to suit the proacs and the satellite M1's is going to be interesting. The proacs could do with a sub cut off around 50Hz, the B&W's 80-100Hz. I'd be tempted to get a centre to match the proacs, keep the M1's for rear duties and then set the sub to match the front 3 speakers

Great thanks for the suggestions, i did intend to replace centre in the very near future to be on par with the proacs.

You only want the cut-off for stereo use? So only the fronts are relevant.

80 kHz is maybe a bit high Big Grin

You can either use a test cd to check which frequency you need to get a more or less linear bass reproduction, or check which drivers your speaker is using or find a frequency response diagram of your speakers.

I checked with a test cd with test frequencies and a dB-meter. That way you also take into account room acoustics.
