Zero 7 - 'When It Falls'

Got it through from Amazon today.

Beautifully atmospheric with hardly a duff track. Copy protected, but sounds pretty good.

No point in having a sports car otherwise, is there? It's only a MR-2 - needs a little throttle to wake up.

I promise to listen to Zero 7 while I do

A good album, but the copy protection seems to prevent me from ripping it so I can listen to it on my iPod. Any ideas how I can get round this?

It is available on vinyl if that helps any.

You can copy past many of the protections by slowing the write speed down to 4x.

Not sure of the legality of doing this tho Wink

Turning off auto run on your cdrom drive will normally get by the protection too.

This can be done by using Tweak - a program found on the windows cd and microsoft website.

I have copied mine to my ipod no problems.

Just got this today. It's on two nice size slabs of vinyl. Listened to the first two sides and this is a wonderful album. It seems like every cut has a different vocalist. Not a bum song so far. This may be my album of the Spring.

Its well within the law to make backup copies of CD's for personal use. I make copies of all albums I listen to, for the car. I care too much about my CD's to let them get scratched up when friends want to listen to something else, and get finger prints on them, and dust, and drop them on the floor, arrrrgggh... Driving me nuts thinking about it now!

I said it in another thread, but if you like Sia Furlers singing on the Zero 7 albums, her solo album 'colour the small one' is really good and worth a listen. Texturally it's more in the Bjork/Stina nordenstan/Emilinia Torrini area and Sias singing is wonderful.

And also the car thieves get a surprise when they break into your motor and only get copies as well!!!!!

Stupidly I leave a host of original mix CD's on the back seat as they wont fit in the glove compartment... Only thing is, I dont listen to them all that much, but its guaranteed that if I take them out, I will want to listen to every single one on the next journey I take... so they stay...
