Antonio Forcione LP versus CD

Posted by: mysticaldodo on 06 February 2006

Are his LPs of better sound quality then the cd counterparts. I have both Tears of Joy and Dedicato LP but not able to make comparison with the cds. I notice the back of the album cover says 'remastered for vinyl'. What does that mean?

I've read of some NAIM LPs being cut straight to LP, but I don't think it applies here right?

Any advice appreciated thx Smile

Hi

The thing to remember here is that comparing CDs and LPs is like comparing apples with oranges and that, as such, doing an A/B comparison with two such radically different formats is inappropriate.

The remastering that we mention is EQing, done to make the recording suitable for vinyl transfer in the case of Antonio's albums.

We don't do direct to disc recordings, I don't know of many people who do due to the somewhat inflexible nature of this method.

hope you're enjoying the Antonio albums,

Anna
