'Saxondale' theme music

Great to hear 'House of the King' by Focus on Steve Coogan's new comedy series on TV.

Other good 70's stuff including some Wishbone Ash was heard too. I thought the first episode was pretty funny, and enjoyed it.

If you decide to seek out 'House of the King' on CD beware. It was originally on the 1972 double vinyl 'Focus 3' album, and most CD versions still do not contain 'HOTK' due to the early time constraints of CD's.

It does appear however on the mini-vinyl replica Japanese CD of 'Focus 3' , which contains all the tracks in their original running order - and sounds pretty good too.

Hi John,

"Time Was" from Argus, wasn't it? Promising first episode I thought.

Enjoyed the Jethro Tull 'Bouree' too!

Yes indeed James.

And that lovely little clapping section from the beginning of 'House of the King'.

Shame that the continuity announcer talked over, and spoilt a nice snippet of 'Hocus Pocus' over the closing credits.

I'm enjoying the programme, and think it shows promise.

Finally caught this weeks episode after it clashed with WC for the first couple of weeks.
A cross between Alan Partridge, John Shuttleworth and Ozzy Osbourne. Bloody brilliant, another stroke of genius from Steve Coogan.
