uniserv/dac/ipad

Hello gangers. Has anyone heard a Uniserv-Dac-NAC552/500 combo? I have heard some people state it sounds as good as a CD555. Also I understand it could be operated by an Ipad which sounds pretty convenient. The trouble I have with the state of evolution is the age old one of "Do you jump on the Merry-go-round or wait for technology to peak" Trouble is it never does. I am just not sure whether we are at the Amstrad state of evolution or at some post 2000 power desktop computing? Cheers, Mass
