Brings back memories of my youth in good old Germany. This was one of my favorite shows at the time. Smile

Bunch of Rudy van Gelder remasters on Blue Note - Jimmy Smith, Hank Mobley, Lee Morgan, Thelonious Monk. All sounding great and picked up for a song during lunch break yesterday.

Ian,

I did not get this Goldberg variations just because I already have so many versions of this music. If you are enjoying Hewitt's playing you should listen to her Clavier Book No II (Bach) & the Rameau discs which are among her best.

Thanks Haim - I'll check them out.

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand

Try as I might I still can't get into this album. A waste of two great talents, IMHO. I have renamed it "Buried In Sand" as that's what I'm going to do with it.
