And you know what ? I had not listened to it for ages, and I recently discovered that my naim kit does marvels of the poor master they put on the first CD release.

It's a great album. The HDCD version sounds amazing.

Cheers Haim, I'll certainly check that out.

Was it you who recommended that CD of Scarlatti played on the accordion? If so, please could you repost the link, as I'm well and truly bitten by the Scarlati bug, and would like to hear an alternative take on the music.

Thanks
Nigel

Absolutely briiliant music making! Different, but does exactly no harm. I love the accordion!

Somehow it gets all the mobility of the harpsichord and a nice needle sharp articulation with a sustain that suits very nicely!

The Sameness of Difference - Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey

They offer interpretations of music by Bjork, The Flaming Lips, Charles Mingus, Neil Young, Brian Wilson, Dave Brubeck, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. Their own material is also well represented, as original compositions, "Santiago," "The Maestro," "Halliburton Breakdown," "Slow Breath, Silent Mind" and "Davey's Purple Powerline" are etched in stone for the first time ever in the studio.

Great Album.
