Maybe a coincidence, but my system seems to like this warm weather. Must get those draughts fixed for next winter!

Funny that you ask, Adrian...

We played this at Edouard's house, and stopped, pretty soon. Not a mutual foot tapping, head nodding experience, so it had to go. Out of curiousity, I gave it a spin, yesterday evening, and - voila - listened to it with some joy and til the end. Not always do I like the "string sauce" on it, but there are several pleasant tracks, too. Noteworthy the (then) young Stockhausen, and the development he has gone through...

cheers
Stefan

What do you think of this? Must be at least 10 years since I have played it. One of the earliest ACT CD's.

Myra Melford - The Same River, Twice

Free jazz that doesn't scare the horses. I've admired this artist since picking up her early live CD "Alive in the House of Saints" on impulse ten years ago.

Edit: impulse = my state of mind, not the record label! Smile

Astor Piazzolla Tango: Zero Hour

Geoff,

Hope you like it. It is my favorite Piazzolla though not the easiest one to listen to with all its sharp edges.

Regards,

Haim
I do Haim.....The sleeve notes also help to appreciate it and the years that led to it.

Bishopola....did my Piazzolla CD lead to this....?

Stefan I am with you but I don't think the other folks were so we never got past around track 3.
