Prokofiev: Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 1 in f minor, Op. 80
Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in D major, Op. 94bis.

This recording was made in May of 1953 which also happens to be the same year in which Prokofiev died. The f minor sonata was played at his funeral and it is one of my favorite sonatas. The D major just happens to be too cheerful Smile

Simply Red - A New Flame. Their best album, IMO.

Lalo Schifrin created some of the best soundtracks of all time IMHO.

A little blues to mourn the passing of the Sun after a few days of lovely weather...

But prompted by the posters above I'll pop this on next to cheer myself up

Hi Geoff - sometime between 1510 and 1570 if wikipedia is to be believed!! Hope you are enjoying the music.

A bit more modern here
