Not sure what to make of it, yet..

I was going to recommend my favorite Bechstein with plenty of room to hide underneath..

Anyway, I am sure that you are having fun with the Bosendorfers guests. Do they sound different or is the impression the same?

Being played here so often, the title might as well be 'Unforgotten Melodies'.

I really like Krystian Zimerman's playing. He hasn't recorded a lot but whatever he does is top notch in my opinion. This one was recorded in February 1990 but released in 1991.

Haim, I totally agree with you on the Medtner. He grows on you and somehow is very addictive. I have the Forgotten Melodies which are almost dwarfed alongside the larger scale sonatas in a four cd set. Maybe less accessible but equally enjoyable in my mind.

fantastic sounding CD, IMHO one of the best sounding MoFi's. Tracks 2&3 are great system demos.

It is, no doubt about it. The sound engineer must have been inside the piano
