A really great CD. I heard it as CD of the Week on the BBC Radio 3 programme, "CD Review" a couple of weeks ago and bought it. According to the BathCD website, it will be "Gramophone"'s CD of the month for June and it horoughly deserved the praise. I rate it even more highly than Beecham.

Nine Inch Nails - 'Ghosts I-IV' Deluxe edition.
The photo does not do justice to the quality of the packaging. Although I have had the Flac files (free when ordered) for a while this is my first proper listen, sounds pretty good so far.

Dead Can Dance - 'The Forum, London, 7 April 2005' limited edition (The Show)
Seems I am listening to a lot of limited editions at the moment, but then I am a sucker for buying them.
Beautiful and gentle, both Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry have such amazing voices.

An odd mix of vinyl that has me wondering whether the NAP 300 shouldn't be re-branded the wonderbra for the way it lifts and separates.
Guy Clark - Old No. 1; Candi Staton - His Hands; Händel music for the royal fireworks and water music - Marriner and ASMF (Argo); Les têtes brulées. Will probably end this session with Dusty in Memphis

Japan - Gentlemen Take Polaroids. Of course Richard Barbieri, keyboard player, moved on to bigger and better things.

Hi Mark
I have that album too, it is so good (IMHO) that I simply ordered her new album as soon as it came out and was not disappointed. She is an excellent singer and, for the most part, picks traditional songs and arranges them really well. She also plays a mean Viola - very talented lady. When she's not doing a traditional arrangement, she carefully picks contemporary songs that fit in perfectly will the feel of the album. She has written material herself.
All in all a very fine artist.
Hope you enjoy her eponymous debut record.

Usual high quality recording.
I suspect Jools Holland would wet himself if Eric could make it onto his show

The late, great, Jimmy Giuffre.
Almost fifty years later, this music still sounds "out there", and so very fresh.
