Dead Can Dance - 'The Forum, London, 7 April 2005' limited edition (The Show)
Seems I am listening to a lot of limited editions at the moment, but then I am a sucker for buying them.
Beautiful and gentle, both Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry have such amazing voices.
I just pre-ordered the whole series of Dead Can Dance albums on SACD - the sound of the original albums was already very good, let's see if this can be improved on.

This album is never too far away from my system - one of my all time faves no matter what mood I'm in. Was already playing this before you posted...the spooky coincidence factor strikes again...

There are still some of the 2005 live shows available, including the 'best of US tour', which are very worth getting hold of before the editions sell out. The recordings of reunion tour were beautifully done.
The versions of the tracks from Liza Gerrard's 'Silver Tree' album seem much stronger with DCD live, but then I love live music anyway.
Now playing Nine Inch Nails Ghosts III-IV again.

Borodin Quartet playing the six Op. 18 String Quartets of Beethoven. The Borodin spread the six out over 3 cd's as opposed to the typical 2. It amounts to about 15 or 20 longer in total time. I like these recordings and they are very convincing to me. They make a nice alternative/contrast to some other "higher octane" interpretations. So far have listened to Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Highly recommended but I love these quartets no matter who is playing them, I guess

Is this still available ? I'd buy it for the cover alone. SOOOO ECM, SOOOOOO seventies. Does it say who took the cover photo ? Harald Mante ? Or Christian Voigt ?
Uhm, erm, and the music ?

My headache says NO, but my ears say YES to this great, athmospheric (?) live recording. One of my favs, and "Stiletto" is a piece that EVERY speaker needs to pass, before I continue to be interested. The "Goddesses" did with great attitude...
