Adrian & Stefan,
The cover photograph was done by Lajos Keresztes, recording made in 1976.
Haim
Thanks Haim. I have never really taken much notice of this cover in the past, but now Stefan comes to mention it I really do like this picture.

It is other people's music since it left me cold.
Haim
Sorry to hear that Haim (I like it a lot).
Nigel,
No need to be sorry. I cannot like everything and I am happy that you are enjoying the music.
Personally, Wheeler's first attempt to play with a classical ensemble was disappointing. I thought that there was less of playing together on this disc and more of taking turns. In other words; harmony lacking.
Regards,
Haim
Haim, so far this has left me cold as well. I am a big Kenny Wheeler fan but this did not grab me on first listen. I will need to try it again sometime.
In the meantime, my favourite Kenny Wheeler and IMHO, one of ECM's finest releases. A great line up on this album with Dave Holland, Peter Erskine, John Abercrombie and John Taylor

Mario - more on the instrumental side but there is some vocal. I really enjoyed it and worth getting as you are a Lanois fan.

Mark,
are you listening to it on CD or vinyl. I was amazed how good the 20th anniversary edition sounds on CD. Soon a new gold CD will be out as well. One of my favorite albums.
Cheers ... Oliver

Great album. Is the expanded edition worth getting, or are the extra tracks just an excuse to make a second or longer disk?
I was less than impressed by much of the extra material on the Rhino releases of the Yes albums. Interesting to hear once, but mostly just made me rush to stop the album where it finished in the first place.
