In order of preference, after a brief shoot out, I have decided that I prefer listening to Ben Harper then Xavier Rudd and then Jack Johnson.
Oddly, the more I upgrade the better Ben Harper sounds (and he sounds great on my iPod) but the less happy I am with Jack Johnson which seems over-produced and too refined. I probably have cloth ears.

Huw - I can understand that order. I was put off Ben Harper for life when we went to see him at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. I think he forgot that it was an Entertainment Centre. Xavier is very good and my respect for him grew immensely when we saw him live, making all those sounds alone.
As for Jack, well all the family like that one which possibly explains it (very poppy, simple middle of the road) but it is great music for a drive to the beach on a sunny day.

Wonderful live album

Omar Sosa - Mulatos. This probably fits quite nicely in the world music thread, or better mélange

Barbirolli leading the RPO in Sibelius' 2nd, inspired by the Sibelius thread. I think I have three versions of this symphony lead by Sir John.

Looks like a Chesky - I assume the recording quality is outstanding?

Monk's Music - original Riverside pressing, like a pair of old slippers. Something to save from a burning house, imho

Not the easiest music to start the day with, Haim. Might give that a listen later, but now in a Monk / Coltrane mood
