quote:(Re: Wakenius: I very much like his last one with Jarrett variations. Press speaks good about the last one (which you bought), but somehow I'm not tempted. Tell me, if you like it, then (and if it compares to the earlier one))
Well Stefan, on first listen, this is extremely... pleasant! I haven't heard his Jarrett CD, but my guess is that you don't *need* this one, unless you're desperate to hear the core trio with added horns and a string quartet. A worthy addition to my collection, but not as essential as what I'm now listening to:

Coincidence. Now I have been listening to this one tonight at Davohorn's house. Really liked it and will go and buy it in the morning.

Another hard day at the office?
I was in Kingston this morning visiting a potential customer and nipped into a jeweller's job in the town centre afterwards (just looking obviously!). While I was trying on a timepiece £ youths in hoodies busrst in and, armed with lump hammers, started hacking at the glass behind which lay the Raymond Weil watches! All a bit surreal! They were scared of before the glass gave out which was a testament to the strength of the stuff. Had to a give a statement to the ozzers etc. Hope it might be worth a bit of a discount if I go back and buy!!

Hey Chris that was a nasty thing to happen.

I was looking at this on Amazon and wondered if it is worth buying. What do you think of it?
I really enjoyed the show I saw last year, although the sound was appalling (no mid tone, but those soulless stadiums have often have bad sound anyway), but set and performance were excellent.
I do like 'Different Stages' and 'All The World's a Stage' a lot, but am wondering if I need yet another Rush live album, well from after 2000 anyway.

I hope S & A live is better than the studio version.
