It's lovely & sunny up here in the northern isles nymph.
It's been like this for three weeks now;
all our heating has been off since the start of May.

Whether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot,
we'll weather the weather, whatever the weather,
whether we like it or not.

Having woken up this morning to the delicate sounds of my wife revisiting her Goth back catalogue at 11 on the vol. dial
I'm now back in control after hiding the puck when she went to make a nice hot cup of goat blood..I mean tea. So todays listening so far has been thus;

ECM has got to be kidding with this recording...
This has been recorded JUST three months after I was born, and you know that I am a boring old fart, already, so... Can't believe the quality of both the recording AND music I am hearing. Simply stunning. No way a Jazz collection can exist without this. (ditch Bitches Brew, if you run out of space...

Oh, and another comment:
How can people here enumerate 5-8 CDs a day ? I have a strict "listen until the end" policy in place, and simply cannot make 8 hours of contiguous listening. At least not in summer...

Thanks Oliver !
(unfortunately, I don't know the Australian equivalent of "Viele Gruesse", but I noticed that it was used "spot-on", which gives me a hint on your German abilities...

cheers
Stefan

Seeing 'Ancient Heart' above reminded me I will be working with Tanita Tikaram's brother Ramon in a few weeks time, a lovely actor and a big jazz fan.
