Just arrived from the Bowerbirds trailer in USA. Fans of Bon Iver might like this. Stripped down and mellow. Not due to be released here till July.

SJB,
What do you think of it?
My copy is still on its way.
Munch
It's a comprehensive return to form Munch. Quite a bluesly feel to it with top notch playing and a pristine production - no compression here!
You should enjoy it.

Imaginary thread: If you could only keep the albums from one artist or group who would it be?
For me it would have to be Charles Thompson whether he be Frank Black or Black Francis.

Nigel - this band is one of ECM's better kept secrets. They did four discs with Juni being the fourth.
The other three are
You Never Know
Time Being
As It Is
All worth getting with Time Being one of my favourite ECM CD's. The first track on You Never Know is superb. It is a shame this trio no longer seems to be in business. I recently asked Steve Lake one of the main players of the ECM label and he confirmed that they were no longer playing together. Shame.

Ian,
The Grumiaux Mozart, is that 24bit transfer any good? I have some older versions but presumably the transfer still has to be converted to 16bit (CD). Is there a genuine 24bit option?

Adrian
Thanks Adrian - all four CDs added to my "to buy" list. I'm a great admirer of John Taylor, but the other members of this trio are no duds either. I've recently enjoyed Erskine's drumming on Kenny Wheeler's "Double, Double You".
Incidentally, Palle Danielson and John Taylor still record together, and have made two albums - "Angel of the Presence" and "Whirlpool" - with Martin France completing the trio line up. But I bet you knew that already!
