First listen (and first encounter with Solal) - sounds very promising.

You've got this band and your guitarist/vocalist writes the biggest hit you've ever had, you're selling out concerts and getting rave reviews. So what do you do - sack the guitarist/vocalist and edit out his entire contribution to your latest album and mix in the contributions from his replacement. That's what Vincent Crane did to John DuCann for In The Hearing Of .. - the result was still very good, but .... why did he do it - Come back tomorrow, show the scars on your face, it's a clue to the answer we all chase.

Autobahn by Kraftwerk on lovely Blue Vinyl.

Purchased it from HMV in Newcastle (of all places) yesterday for £16.99.

They have a better range of LP's than usual at the moment. There's life in the old (top) dog yet?!

Down to the bone. I can see where they get the name from, currently grooving to Brooklyn Heights

Nigel,

The Solal solo is an excellent album. The old guy does not seem to slow down.
