"According to Shelby's myspace blog, she insisted on using two inch tape instead of digital, and the organic recording method has yielded a beautiful sound and the arrangements give the record an amazingly subtle power."

Tpical American Tragedy - Anthony Da Costa. Heard a track on Bob Harris the other night - excellent stuff with a good sound quality, very Ryan Adams in flavour, mostly mellow acoustic and apparently he's only 17 years old, which is amazing given his voice and talent! one to watch...

Omar Sosa - Afreecanons, a nice follow up to Mulatos and will probably get some good spin time as the warm weather arrives

Nigel Kennedy's latest offering, a blend of Beethoven, Mozart and Horace Silver. Another good disc although I think I prefer his earlier reading of the Beethoven.

Disc 1 of René Jacobs reading of Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutti - hopefully the remaining discs will maintain the high standard
