Seriously - he is not a BIG name in Germany (and hence, internationally), so I believe he would value serious shoulder tapping.

Not joking, I like that disc very much, myself. (Funny: Get's played in the car, a lot...)

cheers

Excellent idea, Stefan.

I just wrote ACT and asked them for Beier address.

Do you contact a lot of musicians yourself?

The only one I wrote to was Tord Gustavsen and he was very gracious in his response.

Haim

I do, sometimes, but as a rule, only the not very known artists. It is a nice thing, sometimes to see that they care. I guess more so in Jazz, where numbers of sold discs are lower...

Some time ago, I thought that his Tzadik label was worth exploring. Had bought 2-3 of their discs, but somehow was drawn way. Still think there is very interesting stuff, there. World ? Jazz ? Traditional ? WTF...

cheers

Did not know what to expect from this release on John Zorn's Tzadik label but it is actually very good.

Kevin Ayers Joy of a Toy re-mastered with bonus tracks including Religious Experience a.k.a Singing A Song In The Morning with the great late Syd Barrett.

This has three versions of The Lady Rachel on it and they all sound completely different, but quite superb and add to my thoughts that KA was an amazing talent.

I do gladly enjoy this album sometimes.
That's one of your good tips ROTF!
