JWM,With you all the way on the Gutter Twins, but surely you're not dismissing the mighty 'Pentangle' who also played on the same show?!!!! Eek Wonderful to see them all together again!
(BTW, do you have any solo Lanegan stuff? - I think you'd enjoy it if you like the Gutter Twins)

Short term memory loss Red Face thanks for reminding me about the excellent Pentangle, who are playing Cambridge Corn Exchange on Thursday 3rd July. Sadly I can't go! Frown

This is my firsy foray into the Lanegan catalogue.

Things are sounding great CDs too. Guy in the shop says I'll have to wait a few or more days for it to warm up, if it's better I'll be amazed squared.I still have the HiLine to fit as well.

Erskine/Taylor/Danielsson - You Never Know

I think I have Haim to thank for recommending this excellent (with that line-up, how could it not be) CD.

Cheers

Come over all Christmassy for a while having been inspired by naim's demo at St Albans last week...

But it's Summer again now...

While this recording of Mahler's 3rd from Boult and the BBC Symphony is a fascinating historical document, and invaluable for the presence of Kathleen Ferrier in this work, from a technical standpoint it has to be about the worst recording I have ever heard.

Great (out of print) CD, very much appealing to me with noble Goodrick, ever-reliable Surman, sober Gomez and cristalline DeJohnette.

Thanks to the generous spender... Winker

Can you explain that pic to us, Gian ? It reminds the Physical Grafitti CD, but it's not. Or, is it ?

Nigel,

Can't take credit for it since I do not own this disc. Probably Stefan or Adrian (the ECM twins) recommended it.
On the other hand there are a lot of good things I could say about this John Taylor:

I used to be the biggest CW fan under the sun. Until I saw her life in concert. The most disappointing concert I have seen so far. Mythbuster, as they say...

How is that CD ?

cheers
Stefan
