The marvellous

Every time i listen to this record i think how a man could, so many years ago, get so far in terms of creativity and quality.

Adrian, Nigel, Ian
Last time I felt that there is a loss which is unrecoverable, was when John Lennon was shot. Still haven't played Svenssons music. I am sure I will (and I very much understand the "tribute" aspect that is driving you, Adrian), but it has to be the right moment, for me.

Still shocked and sad

Stefan, I have been playing his music alot as a tribute. I thought about him all day yesterday and still find it hard to believe. One of my modern day music heroes. There is a big hole in European jazz now. This group were so important. I really hope that in time, the other two members of the band can find a way to get back to the top of the game - they deserve to. Although the group was named after Esbjorn, it was very much a team effort.

Excellent record, just makes me want to dance like a lunatic when Compared To What comes on.

Mark, I love that album. I hope you enjoy her live - I sure did. The voice was about what I expected (excellent) but she was better than I expected on guitar.

Hi Jeff, hope you are well.
Thanks for the link, I'll have a look when I get back up later (4.20am here now!). I'm really looking forward to the gig, and was delighted to see her playing at a venue so close to me. And yes, I love Saltbreakers too!

Ran this through the Disco Anti-Stat, and am plesently surprised how good it sounds! Turns out my dad's old records aren't as abused as I thought, just dirty!
