Probably my favorite T.G. release - sublime in places - he controls the pace so delicately, leaving room for the brain to consciously fondle and savour the notes.

Oliver ....I have this on Vinyl. It is probably the most realistic piano trio recording I have come across.

About an hour ago, Beethoven 2 and 7 in live concert recordings from 1963 played by the Philharmonia under Otto Klemperer.

Just put on the Spring [violin and piano] Sonata with Adolph Busch and Rudolf Serkin. It takes something to follow the kind of insight Klemperer brings, but these two do!

Feldman for a Friday evening.

Earlier the Chaccone in D Minor from Bach for violin: Busch. Then a long phone call. Headache all evening: From being tired but sleepless.

Now Munchinger's Decca recording of Art of Fugue, in darkness within a few seconds. Balm to the spirit, and thoughts of friends in a plight.

Good night to y'all. George

I had to interrupt my classic hour to make sure that my post #1000 is appropriate. Cool
