Hi Jeff,
Would this be a good introductory album to his music? I am only familiar with the songs played on the radio.

Thanks.

Buddy Guy set from Glastonbury, what a star.
I'm ashamed to say I have none of his work.

Good introduction ? Sure, as it shows the three sides to JM - acoustic, blues trio, full band - and mixes his pop side with his jam side. You like live albums so give it a go - the full length dvd (which I just ordered also) is 9.99 plus shipping at amazon. Then you can watch him in action also.

Have a nice holiday weekend, Pat

Jumped straight to Nr 101 'Clock' since George mentioned it the other day.

For anyone who doesn't know these symphonies (as I didn't before GFFJ's evangelizing thread last year) they are well worth checking out. Vibrant, musical and continuously inventive. This is not wallpaper classical music but infectious, (mostly) happy tunes. Great fun.

Dear Ian,

Feeling a bit disappointed at cancelling my trip to Norfolk on account of the train ticket being £84 with the return on Sunday. I could get to Warsaw cheaper!

I am going to listen to some infectiously happy Haydn in a short while! Thanks for putting the thought into what remains of my mind!
