Speaking of Jimmy Page on guitar - Led Zeppelin, Salt Lake City, 1973, an excellent recording.

I notice a lot of you guys are getting in to Manilow and was wondering if any of you had

The Complete Collection and Then Some... [BOX SET]

I was thinking it might make a suitable birthday present for somebody and wonder what you thought. It has 5 hours of of non-stop Manilow.

Meanwhile not having any Manilow in the house, I decided that this would suffice until the shops opened

Does it come with a health warning on the back of the package. 5h non-stop Manilow must cause some serious side effects. Eek

That's what I'm thinking. Winker

Don't get roped in. Chicken Tikka Massala mixed with alcohol in unfamiliar circumstances has been known to cause odd effects.......

When they were younger, this recreational drug use led to nothing more serious than abuse of waiters and sordid encounters with young ladies of relaxed virtue.

I can see things have deteriorated since then.

I'm leaving the thread now, before ROTF says any more hurtful things about post Gabriel Genesis or Phil Collins. ROTF's recent confession of indifference to James Taylor and Jackson Browne has seriously undermined his credibility to cast such nastertions imo. Big Grin

Perhaps I should get this to lend to my next-door neighbours. They bug the shit out of me by their existance and this would really show them how I feel about them!

This should go on the Celine Dion pile of toss music.

Sorry for the out-burst but.........

undermined his credibility - impossible I've never had any.

You forgot to add Neil Young and the Eagles. I never did get the appeal of those guys.

But despite the doubters, it is true that Manilow did indeed audition with Genesis - I have to confess that I made up the bit about VDG.

Hmmm ... nastertions .... aren't they a bit like daffodils - I'm sure we used to grow them at school .... Smile

As I couldn't find any Celine Dion records in my collection, I'm now listening to

and very good it is too.

Hey Adrian,

I too want to say all the best and hope that you and the family have a very safe trip. Missed you the other nite but understand that you had heaps to do. Hope the system sounds as good as I have always heard it in it's new home.

Thanks for the fantastic musical insight that you so happily share with others and hope to catch up with you and the family in the future.

Mario.
