Eminently beautiful...
Youg gun Hargrove has the talent and skill to almost forget the ol' masters and sound authentic. And he's got da groove too. A legend in the making IMO. Stunning.

9th May 2005 in Ipswich: "I am sorry I haven't a clue!"
As a regular I heard this one twice at the time.
I hope some of these make it to CD! Mornington Crescent with Sat Nav, I ask you!

EST - Live in Hamburg
My first EST since Svensson's death. A great testament to the power of their live shows.

"Begins" Blue Floyd. The music of Pink Floyd interpreted by members of the Allman Brothers Band, Black Crowes and Gov't Mule. Fascinating!

Hi Oliver
Not brand new - I think it's been out for a couple of months. Worth a place in any ECM devotee's collection, I think.

Hi Oliver,
I agree, a great album, which I haven't played in a while either. I try to spend the first several hours of Sunday mornings listening to jazz discs which I played endlessly in the '90s.
best regards,
