BBC 4 PROM this evening:
Camille Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony.
By god the Albert hall 32 footer shakes the woofers. Actually the Organ is a rumble underpinning the chords which the violins are dancing on most of the time.

Nah. I wish I had not missed it though, but those Klemperer Beethoven recordings were mostly last in my house in the early nineties so I have been having a bit of a reunion!
I bet that Saint Seans Organ Symphony would have been agreat from the RAH!
In some respects the bigger the organ the better in that piece!
