All in all, a bloody good nights liseting, topped off with a nice bottle of Red.

Bloomin heck I see you went to town a bit on the old soul discs.
Hope it was nothing I said.
You can't beat a good bit of Curtis, Bobby and Stevie though.
Funnily enough I was playing Stevie's Gt Hits Vol 1 last night.
I also won a Japanes 1st pressing of Innervisions last night on eBay for £9. The seller didn't know what it was and I don't think many other people did either.
Never seen one on eBay for years.
It will be interesting to compare it to my MFSL Innervisions which I think is great.

Hi Ewen,
The CD's did come from the USA, the are the remastered one's by Bill inglot and Dan Hersch. Are they the one's you are referring to?

Nice one! Yes i did go to town!!! I've had to tell my better half she's got to give up one of her CD shelves so i can get all my new purchases on

Have also 'discovered' The Doors! Really like S/T so is the MFSL disc worth getting?

I take it you mean the DCC disc. Personally I have never heard it though I know people who rave about it.
But I also know a lot of folk who like the Japanese 32XD pressing.
Both of which are expensive.
I have copies of the current masterings which I like but Doors fans hate.

Sound quality on all the Otis CD's is fine but are there any better sounding CD's, mfsl for instance?

Get the MFSL Otis Blue it is vg.
In answer to your question the Japanese pressings with a cat no of **** are the best.
Not telling you as my set is not complete.
One strange thing though if you are buying the current remastesr which are fine then get the US ones. The WG copies tend to sound a bit harsh on my system. Whereas the US ones don't.
Otis and Stevie - some very nice choices.
I second the Otis MFSL.

That's enough Tull for one night - and now for something completely different.

Hi Jeff,
Sure thing. Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoy the station and feel fortunate I can pick it up on the radio. I listen to it quite a bit at work also.
Have a great weekend.
