Adrian, if you like this, and you don't already have it try Rock of Ages. The Band are just brilliant. Did you get the Lizz Wright disc with the bonus version of "it makes no difference?"
Since seeing Lizz on Friday night have been spinning both The Orchard and Salt. She closed her set with a cracking version of Led Zeppelin's Thank You.
Currently on the iPod, the Felice Brothers - the bastard offspring of the Band, early Dylan and Gram Parsons.

Huw, bonus track on mine is "Strange". Just wish she would come down here.
The album I like most at the moment is Levon Helm Dirt Farmer but I like his old Band stuff as well. Will get Rock of Ages then and check out Felice Brothers.
Off to see Air in a couple of hours.
Cheers

This is a lovely CD discovered recently by MilesSmiles. Beautiful world music (Aboriginal background), acoustic guitar/bass with gorgeous vocals. This deserves a bit of attention.

I'm still getting surprised by all the places and cultures with fantastic music - strange thing is that these world music recordings are now of the highest (audiophile) sound quality whereas a lot of the main stream music has largely surrendered to the loudness war.
