Biggest surprise of the year so far for me. Excellent album, well produced with her voice sounding out above the beat. Bit of Depeche Mode, bit of Karen Ramirez. Good stuff. No kidding.

Listening to the songs again on Claire Maguires myspace Listen here they are stunning. I think there is something a foot with this artist as she hasn't released anything, Jarvis Cocker has met her and given her a song. It's her first ever gig at Green Man............ She is inspired and clearly influenced by Sister Rosetta Tharpe (which you don't hear every day) - think she maybe something very special. Watch this space............................. I did mention that one Amy Winehouse might make it big awhile back so you might want to tip this as a front runner Roll Eyes Eek
