The vinyl edition of the very impressive new double elpee from Blackmore's Night: Secret Voyage, it is medieval-style folk rock music from Richie Blackmore and wife Candice Night.
Why don't more modern bands do tracks with titles like Prince Waldeck's Galliard?

If it were a wine, it would be light and dry to go well with some cheese.
The oboe(s) and bassoons make for bubblely and jolly impression, but the strings keep coming back more serious. I really need to listen to this version again on another day : )

My favourite Ozrics album is The Bits Between The Bits from the time when you sent them a cassette and they sent it back with some music on it. It is now available as a nicely produced CD, Erpland is really good too.
Anyway I'm listen to bits of plastic each with a hole in the middle - so far

Listening to some more old vinyl
The Beatles (White Album)
Hawkwind (Quarks, Strangeness and Charm) - what a fantastic track Damnation Alley is - Robert Calvert at his brilliant best.
The Pretty Things (Vintage Years) - sounded surprisingly good - a real test this record from 1976, which is a collection of pre-67 tracks that boasts no attempt has been been made to enhance the sound.
