Easily my favorite MoFi in mini LP format.

This system test requires to be performed loud, VERY LOUD!

Ok, there might not be too many folks who would play Linda and Megadeath right next to each other, but hey, why not - if it makes me happy. Big Grin

Previously, Anne-Sophie Muttter and von Krajan with the BPO, Mendelssohn and Bruch Violin Concerti on SHMcd. Now Trevor Pinnock's version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, again on SHMcd. An absolutley gorgeous violin tone on each.

If you haven't already got it, his newest "Same Old Man" is highly recommended. The guitar and mandolin playing by Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi All Stars) is amazing, matched to typically excellent JH songs.

Ciao Jeff!
Yes, i was thinking to put "Same old man" in a short list together with some Terry Evan's records where Ry Cooder did play like in "Bring the family".

Do you know Bill Morrissey?
I'm waiting for his last "Come running".
But if you buy tracks on the net you could try with songs like "Handsome Molly", "These cold fingers", "Motels and planes" or the crazy "Up on the C.P. Line" all from the 1989 "Standing Height" album.

Hello Munch, it's not too bad here today, just a bit breezy.
I'm just getting ready for a one-hour bicycle ride... hopfully i won't get wet until after the ride and back home in the bath-tub. Wish me luck! : )

My pleasure. I have to say these SHM discs make the LP12 decision harder to justify.

But give me time..... Winker

Joe Henry (1) Scar (2) Tiny Voices (3) Civilians - a trilogy musically, if not lyrically

from Tiny Voices: "Come see the golden light,
Because I've turned the gold light on.
Sometimes, God knows, you've got to
Learn to shine on your own.

I step out of the darkness
And for a moment I'm only living by your kiss,
And just for now our flesh and blood
Is no more real than this"
