~<>~ Ludwig van Beethoven ~<>~
The Nine Symphonies [Import] [Box set]
Playing disc 1 of 5 cd-set...
Symphony no.1 in C major. op21
Symphony no.3 in E flat major, op 55 "Eroica"
Total time 71:11
Biscuit Tin Beethoven with Josef Krips...
conducting the London Symphony Orchestra.
Only played Symphs 1 and 3 so far but imho this is a far warmer and a much perferable listen than those fatiquing Karajan versions... bit of a bargain too, available at around a fiver : )

It's a good album isn't it Stefan. I can see why you then went off into the rest of her back catalogue.

Yes, it is a good album, Adrian. As are many of her's
One of my all times favorites is "Duets" and then "Orchestra Jazz Siciliana Plays the Music of Carla Bley". Sooo funny...
currently re-visiting KJ at Montreux. Finally starting to like it...
cheers
