Paul Motian (with Bill Frisell and Joe Lovano), "I Have the Room Above Her" -- you can get lost in this music.

Oscar Peterson in a 1970 studio recording on the German jazz label MPS (Most Perfect Sound). This album is one of the finest Oscar has ever made and it comes with a great sound engineered by Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer.
Highly recommended.

Ewen,
the only other one I have is 'Silver Skies' but IMHO it is not as good as 'Firefly'.

Listening to it for the second time today - a real keeper.

Lontano,
you might want to check this one out - has a nice Oz country flavour to it.

A long day. Something mindless such as this suits me fine.

What is the sound of the piano like - out in the fields ? And, where is the orchestra. In the forest ?

Questions, questions, questions...

This is really good if you like your folk a bit electric and a bit medieval.
