Hi Oliver,
For me Is A Woman is the best I have heard. The two discs Aw Cmon and No You Cmon got weak response here when they came out, but I keep trying them from time to time and like them a little more each time. I also have Nixon, which I like least, and Damaged, which I am playing now and, again, enjoy a little more each time.
Lambchop covers such a broad spectrum of styles, even within each album itself, that it takes a little more "effort" when listening - that is certainly ok, but sometimes my mood is more "background" and I have learned, for me, that is not a good mood for Lambchop.
Today is a good Lambchop day here.
I enjoy seeing your listening selections. Best regards.

How are things in Sussex my friend, I'm getting ready for another tough week down under. Not familiar with the above - more details pls.
Cheers ... Oliver
Oliver - Sussex is OK - we had summer yesterday. Will call you this week.
Hold Steady are a US band with a Springsteen type sound. It is a pretty good album and would sound good on your system.

I finally managed to get a copy of this for a sensible price.
Thanks to those who informed me of this record,
when I mentioned how much I liked the Van/Cheiftains track on 'The Long Black Veil'.
Irish Heartbeat is brilliant!
