I posted that one a few days ago, the first time I had played it for a while - it's still sounding good! I hadn't previously realised that I have the U.S. version which also includes "Blue Monday" and "The Beach"!

Mark

Mark,

I have both an original vinyl LP and CD of the album, but it still is a great set of tracks. I also have an original cut out sleeve 12" Blue Monday from the first pressing run, but I try not to play it too much.

You not far from being right !

It is a lovely pressing though. I am chuffed to bits with it. Very warm yet detailed sound.

Have you heard/got one Steve?

All the best

Hi Peter,

No I haven't. Probably best that I don't. Smile

I am pinning my hopes on a Beatles re-release series (probably downloads first). Now that Macca's 'little local difficulty' is sorted.

I can't believe that Sir George & Son didn't re-visit the whole canon when compiling "Love". If they come out as good (sound-wise) it will do me.

I recently got this:

I must say it has more 'weight' than my already very good Japanese copy.

Saw them touring the albums at Hammersmith Odeon in 1981, just days after passing my driving test.

Fantastic sound before they went all stadium.

Yes indeed - "Theme for Great Cities" Smile

I will have a look out for this, though my cd budget is now blown for this month. I am waiting for Elvis 24 Karat Hits on DCC to arrive anytime.

You are welcome to borrow my abbey road, just drop me an e-mail if you wish to do so.

oh, for the thread - I am currently playing Bob Marley Live on SHM.

Cheers

Stefan,

I don't know her but I know very well Pablo Ziegler on the piano. For a long time he played with Astor Piazzolla whose masterpiece 'Tango-Zero Hour' is not in your collection yet.
