Vaughan Williams' glorious Mass in G Minor and other choral works (including O Taste and See), Christ Church Oxford, on Nimbus. Recommended recording (if you can find one, probably s/h).

Adrian.... Good solid modern jazz horn improvisation. Nothing too 'advanced'.quote:Originally posted by Lontano:quote:Originally posted by Geoff P:![]()

This record is incredible.
It's a long time i don't listen to record like this.
It is completely out of any possible age.
Btw a record for those who like guitars.
Richard Bennett comes from a long way and enjoyed himself as Knopfler's side wing.

Just arrived from Caiman. Well outside my comfort zone and very pleasing for it. Wonderfully relaxing......................................

Meanwhile, this is simply astonishing:
Baroque violin sonatas with organ and harpsichord accompaniment - sounds potentially horrible, but it's a real delight. And yes, I am listening to it now.
Indeed it is. Mine arrived today and it is quite wonderful. Such is the power of the Music Room - I'd never have found this. Thanks.

Stefan,
I don't know her but I know very well Pablo Ziegler on the piano. For a long time he played with Astor Piazzolla whose masterpiece 'Tango-Zero Hour' is not in your collection yet.
Haim
That is true, Haim, but Pablo Ziegler and a couple of Piazzolla recordings are (in my collection). This Yo! CD specifically attaches to those "old times", when they were a team (and alive), and creates some of its magic from there...
cheers
Stefan
