LE CAPELLA RIEAL DE CATALUNYA
LE CONCERT DES NATIONS

Directed by Jordi Savall

[DDD] Performed in 1991 This FONTALIS CD edition @ 1998

I would recommend this for a good, close, lightweight interpretation with plenty of character.
This is my first listen to this disc and I know this will get more plays over the following days, probably try it in the car too...
Oddly enough, I find most of Mozart’s sacred musik excellent in the car and an aid to good driving skills, especially when it’s dark and misty and one feels as if flying in the clouds : )

In attempt to drown all the crickets noise coming through the windows. It is a gorgeous Indian Summer night outside.

Emma Kirby soprano

LABYRINTO ~ directed by Paolo Pandolfo

Paolo Pandolfo bass & tenor viols
Guido Balestbacci bass & tenor viols
Juan Manuel Quintana tenor viol & consort bass
Alba Fresno consort bass
Eduardo Eguez theorbo, lute, Bandora & guitar

Recorded in the Church of Sornetan Switzerland in December 1995

28 tracks total playing time 77:33 / CD @ 2008 www.glossamusic.com

Emma Kirby sings (rather delightfully) on only 3 tracks, which are separated by fine instrumental works, this is very good as it breaks it up very nicely.
This album is a grower... the more i play it the more i like it! : )

Haim,

I bought the CD originally not knowing him at all but because it is a Chesky Gold CD. I like this one a lot but have not heard any of his solo work.

Cheers ... Oliver
