This shows on my 555 as a HDCD, but I can't find any confirmation on the CD/booklet itself. Does anyone know?

Very good! I saw him during the Spring and he played most of these tunes. Reminiscent of Cannonball Adderly's Quintet with his brother Nat in the harmony of the alto sax and trumpet.

Lovely sounding disc but I have a few folk I know that prefer the Japanes 20P2 version of the disc. The vocals are better.

Kempff's stereo Beethoven sonata cycle has just received a budget price slimline reissue. A few wonderful weeks of listen ahead to judge from the first sonata.
regards, Tam
Hi Tam, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on how this compares with the mono set (which I own).
Thanks
Nigel

I went to Neil's concert in Helsinki and it was the best I've heard for years...
