... how often are extra tracks just a waste of space - not so here. 'Ballad Of The Runaway Horse' & 'If It Be Your Will' are outstanding ... took only 20 years to finally release them.
The live version of 'Joan Of Arc' makes for a grand finale.

there are just so many great ECMs out there - will put this one on my wish list.
Greetings from down under ... Oliver
Oliver,
If you don't have any of these, start with number one 'In Darkness Let Me Dwell'. It is their best.

Many thanks Haim, will look out as well for your earlier post - I'm not familiar with Nikolai Kapustin but it sounds interesting.
Cheers ... Oliver

Do you like it? There is another wonderful Karaindrou CD called L'Africana. Not on ECM but I must arrange for you to have a listen.

Chief Chirpa,
I was looking for the new Portishead in the store here in Australia today but it is not yet released (April, 26th).
Did you like it? It got some poor reviews in the Australian music press.
Cheers ... Oliver

MilesSmiles, I was playing the Whiskeytown Deluxe issue Stangers Almanac mesen only yesterday too. What a bargain - extra tracks on the main album AND a bonus CD of 21 previously unheard tracks. Brilliant collection, and what a band too.
Right now I'm playing The OOO
And then I'm 'avin'

in reverse order 4 - 1.
Because I can.
Jono
Hi Jono,
What exactly is this? Must be one of the few not in my Joy Division/New Order Collection.
Mark
Mark,
This is the wonderful, and fairly complete, 4 disk box set of all recorded Joy Division material. It also includes a well written book by Paul Morley about his obession with the band. Also included are early demos and disk 4 is live performances.
Highly recommended and in stock at play.com for £30.

... found the 30th Anniversary Edition in the clear out bin today, the first DP Mk.3, not as strong as DP Mk.2 IMHO but 'Mistreated' is a fantastic track.
