]Whats that album like?
I have only got there first album.
I like it Munch. I've had it since the early 1980's when it first came out. Nice, easy listening reggae and a decent recording. I also have 'Sirens in the City' which I don't like as much. How is 'Black Slate'?

Chillkram - sounds like you're having a fun session - The Beat & Dusty in one session...Superb!
Currently have this on to wind down after a glass of Grigio too much - a real grower of an album with some great supporting musicians - Garth Hudson from The Band, Joey Burns & John Convertino from Calexico (who never get name checked enough here!)Howe Gelb from Giant Sand and The Sadies...it's a who's who of Americana!! If you like anything with an alternative country lilt and you haven't got this, try it 'cos it's great imho!

Thanks vz. Sounds like a recommendation that would be up my street. Is it available on vinyl?

Hi Mark,
yes it is - there is a lovely gatefold American pressing available which I believe Diverse Vinyl stock - I think I got mine from an American dealer off of E-bay but you should find a copy fairly easily online.

I have loads of hard core Reg on cd plus all the names most people know.
I used to love listening to David Rodigan on 'Roots Rockers' on Capital Radio in the early eighties.

Do you just play one or two tracks of a album before you post?
Munch

Take Fred Neils sometimes recording partner, put him in a studio with the same bunch of musicians who cut Blonde on Blonde with Dylan, add producer Nick Venet and probably what sounds like a very nice amount of mary Jane and you've got an acid folk/rock/ jazz lost classic that ranks up there with Neils own work as well as Tim Buckley, David Crosby and their like. Thats it, time for bed!!
